Certificate in Biostatisics

To earn the Certificate in Biostatistics, students must complete 15 credits worth of core coursework. The minimum prerequisites are Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, and a college-level statistics course. Alternative combinations of coursework and/or experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Each student will be paired with an academic advisor with whom they will work to design a custom curriculum and plan for completion.  The Certificate is offered on a full-time and part-time basis.

Year 1, Semester 1  (Fall):
BIST 510: Probability and Sampling (3 credits)
BIST 511: Statistical Inference (3 credits)
BIST 515: Introduction to Statistical Software (3 credits)

Year 1, Semester 2  (Spring):
BIST 512: Categorical Data Analysis (3 credits)
BIST 919: Independent Study (1 credit)
One Elective (chosen from):
